PHONE
OF THE MONTH
is the
Wilhelm Candlestick Telephone.
The Wilhelm
Telephone Mfg. Co. operated from 1898 until 1913. The uniqueness
of the Wilhelm phones is the transmitter which contains
two separate diaphragms bearing against opposite sides of
the same electrode emanating to a single mouthpiece. This
phone is a Wilhelm "potbelly" candlestick with
a "long pole" receiver.
