I have a Model 317 H western electric telephone that has patent pending 1907 on inside of door. Also has locking screws on the left side of the door . Can you tell me what this may be worth. It also has NYPD P13 stamped on the inside back of the door

This website is interesting and informative. My mother purchased what appears to be an old Western Electric telephone today at a thrift store. We have not been able to determine its age. It is a small oak box (approximately 10" X 7";) with two "ringers" on the top and a rotary dial on the bottom. It has a oak hand set on the side. The ringers, dial, and metal on the hand set is nickle plated brass. The receiver has the bakelite parts. The works are accessed through hinges at the top. Any information about the age and possible value would be very much appreciated. My father worked for the Bell System for 35 years, so telephones are close to our heart. :D
