I would like to discuss some aspects of my phone which appears to be an early Model 317 converted for dial, but it has some features that I don't understand. Can I get in touch with someone familiar with old phones who is willing to talk with me?

I have what I think is a Western Electric Model 317 Wall Phone w/ picture frame front, and my according to this site, they were made in the early 1900s. Can anyone tell me its approximate worth? It is in good condition.

I worked as a telephone technician in the South African Post Office. Now I collect old phones and refurbish modern phones.
